hoy vamos a aprender español ( - today we will be learning spanish)

Vamos a empezar con lo básico ( - Lets start off with the basics)

These are some basic spanish greetings. You can easily notice the differences between
Good morning, afternoon and evening. Buenos ( pronounced Bo-weh-nos ) and Beunas (pronounced Bue-wen-us)
¡Hola! ( pronounced or-laa)

Say these words below over and over again until your sure you know them off by heart. Say each of these words in spanish to freind's neighbour's and family. It would be helpful if you write these words in a book so you can learn quicker and your brain can attach to the words easier.

My Mihi

Why we live in peace?

Many years ago our ancestors gave up their lives to save ours, let me tell you how.

In the beginning our ancestors lived in racism and fights. Not only did they have to put up with that, they also went into war not once but twice. Fighting for peace for their families and much more. Survivors had been wounded and scarred for life. All those honourable people have left us with peace and also for our next generation they left them memories that you can now see at the Auckland Museum.

Family members of mine have entered the navy to prepare for the next war.

How does your heart work

The heart is a cone shaped muscle that circulates the blood in your body. This muscle can be or is about the size of an adult’s fist. The heart is the most important organ in your body, why? It is basically a blood pumping machine.  Without your heart your blood wouldn't be able to pass through your veins.

Here is an Age Pulse chart I found on the websites below I thought this chart was very interesting. I wonder why our heart gets lower as we grow older?
Newborn   130
3 months  140
6 months  130
1 year       120
2 years     115
3 years - 6 years  100
8 years     90
12 years   85
adult 60 - 100

Titanic

An ocean disaster takes place on the 15 of April 1912. The Titanic the prehistoric boat that travelled across the deep sea leaving many souls and saving less. This story was written a little late. This year is the 100th  Anniversary for the Titanic. Click on the link to take you to a site where you can watch the movie.
TITANIC.
Search up the titanic.

I don't really have much to say but may all the lost souls rest in peace.

Art Alive

Art alive is our new topic this term. This week is the first week we get to change classes. Our first class was room 19. Mr Slade is the art teacher for that class. He taught us how to paint like Oscar Claude Monet here's a little history about him- (1840-1926)
His father ran a grocery business
His mother was an opera singer
April 1st 1851 he entered Lettearve secondary school of artist

when in paris he saw other painters copying their masters works but he would sit by the window and paint what he saw.  In paris he met other young painters who became friends and fellow impressionists. He was influenced by Egene Boudin, Johan Jongking and Gustare corvette. boudin taught him how to use oils as well as outdoor painting techniques. Now you know a little bit about him BUT STAY TUNED FOR MORE.

Study Ladder

Im sure you've read a post on my blog talking about Maths Whizz. Well now we have been introduced to Study Ladder. Like Maths Whizz this is my home page from here I can go anywhere!

Mr Barks sets task for us every week. I am in Mr Barks second top group for Mathematics. Every one in our class has two accounts each. One is for Literacy and one is for Mathematics. I'm going to share with you how well im doing in Mathematics.

Last week we were working on our Multiplication. Our first five questions are normal but as we work our way through our last four we have Squaring Numbers and Square Roots. My favourite one out of both of those are Squaring numbers. I have taken a screen shot of the second hardest person on that
game. I'm also  proud to say I have beaten him and I'm now on to the hardest person victor.

This is a picture of what square roots look like. Here's an explanation on what you do. Square roots are just the answer from squaring numbers. So the answer of 256 is 16 how you might ask its because 16 x 16 = 256 so that means 256 = 16 in a squared root position. Thank you for reading please leave a comment.
