Fia Fia 2013

Every year and each term we have a different topic. This term our main focus has been on Fia Fia! You're probably wondering what Fia Fia is? Well Fia Fia is an event where all the different cultures in our school divide into groups such as Kapa Haka, Samoan group, Indian and many more. Well this year is the schools 60th anniversary! So we're going to celebrate this as Fia Fia.

This is my first Fia Fia I've been involved and probably my last. So out of everything I chose Rapping! Because rapping inspires me! At the beginning of the practices it was kind of a struggle not knowing the song's. So I had to keep at it and push myself to learning all the right lyrics and getting the correct notes.
It got easier as it through to 8 weeks! So today we've been practicing for 10 weeks and its all about to go down on Thursday. Be there or be square.

I love the enthusiasm in your writing and how you challenge the reader at the end of your post. We can't all be there for Fia Fia night unfortunatly - some of us don't live in Auckland for example but I would absolutely love to see a post on your side about how the evening went and also maybe a recording of your part in it. Are the raps your own?
